The Mikado Redressed original vision was that of Director Reid Harrison, for the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Winnipeg. Instead of the usual Japanese theme, it was set in a 1950s modern art gallery. The stunning Miles van der Rohe inspired art gallery set was designed by Sheldon Johnson. The gorgeous retro black and white aesthetic costumes with surprising splashes of colour, were designed by Jan Malabar. Between the timeless G&S music, and the visuals this Mikado Redressed was a hit!
